It’s no longer a secret that I’m expecting my third baby…I am pregnant with my third boy (I am officially a boy mom). As to be expected, all things baby are on my mind! I do not need all of the things that a first time mom or even a mom that is expecting a baby of a different gender need, therefore, I will not be having a shower or sprinkle this time around. Baby Shower Save the Date
I had a large baby shower for my first born and it was amazing! It was everything I had hoped for and the baby and I were showered with lots of love. Baby showers are great for first time moms! You don’t realize how much stuff a newborn baby needs until you’re pregnant with your first baby.. Here are a few of my favorite save the date designs.
Sprinkle Save the Date
For my second child, a few of my gym friends threw me a “sprinkle.” It was totally different than my baby shower, but so much fun! Sprinkles are a great way for expecting mothers to receive some of the essentials. Sprinkles tend to be smaller than baby showers. Guests typically focus on bringing diapers, wipes and cute outfits as opposed to larger baby items. I love cute and fun save the dates for sprinkles, like the ones below.
Save the Date Magnets
I have a large family and we all love keepsakes. For our wedding Save the Dates, my husband and I made adorable little magnets. It sure would be fun to create magnetic save the dates using our announcement photo! This picture could easily be changed out with a super cute bump picture or one with your fur babies.
How to Design
All of the items on basicinvite.com are completely customize-able! You don’t even have to leave the item page to be able to customize it. Want to upload a new picture? Easy…just click on the image that you would like to replace!
Unlike a lot of companies, every text field is editable. It is rare that you are able to change the text, font, location, etc of all components in the save the dates. You can simply fill in the standard information or change them as you’d like! I modified invitations to create the save the dates above as an example of how much you can modify their products. As a mom that has been fortunate enough to have had both a baby shower and sprinkle, both are greatly appreciated!
