When I make a change to a room, I have a really hard time changing just one thing.. That’s exactly how changing out my kitchen faucet turned into an entire kitchen makeover!
Let’s start by talking about this beautiful new kitchen faucet!!
Stellen Touchless Kitchen Faucet
One of the requirements I had for a new kitchen faucet was a clean design. Our old faucet was large and had a lot of working parts (which ended up breaking). I wanted a faucet that didn’t take up much space and was nice and simple. The Stellen kitchen faucet is both clean and sleek and exactly what I needed for my kitchen!
Not only did I like the design of the Stellen, it also came in matte black! I am all about the matte black hardware lately!! It makes a statement without being loud and overpowering.
Easy Installation
As with all Pfister Faucets products, installation was a breeze! I’m always a little nervous about switching out faucets…you never know if it’s going to fit properly or if you have all of the correct parts. I seriously have never had any issues when installing Pfister Faucets products!
The faucet came with easy to follow step-by-step instructions. It only required a handful of tools and some plumbers putty. I simply removed the old faucet and installed the new. My old water lines were not the correct size for the new faucet, but they even included adapters so I didn’t have to buy new hoses!
Touchless Feature – Installation
I’m not going to lie, I was a little hesitant about getting a faucet with the touchless feature. I was not only concerned about the additional steps for installation, but also the electrical connection requirements. I am so glad that I decided to get the touchless feature!!
As far as the installation, there were just two extra steps to install the control box (the box that makes the touchless feature possible)! Everything was clearly labeled, so there was no question as to where the connections went, and the connections did not require any tools.
Touchless Feature – Battery Pack
I do not have an outlet under my kitchen sink. I thought the only option for the touchless feature was to plug it into an outlet…I was wrong! Pfister Faucets does sell an optional battery pack for when you don’t have an outlet under your sink. The battery pack requires four (4) AA batteries.
It even has velcro with double sided tape so you can mount the battery pack on the wall. You can easily remove it when it’s time to change the batteries. They literally thought of everything!
Touchless Feature – Use
In order to use the touchless feature, you simply leave the faucet turned on to the flow and temperature that you desire. You then turn the faucet on and off by simply waving your hand in front of the sensor.
I’m a little embarrassed to admit how many times I’ve gotten paint on my old faucets…not any more. Whether my hands are dirty, or covered with paint, I no longer need to touch my faucet! This really is a nice feature!!
The Stellen kitchen faucet is much more modern than my original chrome faucet. For me, it usually just takes a simple task, such as changing out a kitchen faucet, to cause a chain reaction.. I felt as though this clean, sleek kitchen faucet needed a more modern backdrop.
I ended up giving my entire kitchen a makeover all thanks to this beautiful new faucet! I made a new vent hood and floating shelves. The faucet looked great in the original kitchen, but looks even more amazing now!
